2. What we collect

Contact form: your name, email, chosen topic and message. It is emailed to our booking inbox so we can reply; the site does not build a marketing database from it.

WhatsApp: if you message us, your number and messages are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own privacy policy. We use the conversation only to handle your inquiry and stay.

Bookings: for confirmed stays we keep your name, contact details, dates and apartment in our booking calendar (this website) so we can host you. Bookings made on Airbnb are also governed by Airbnb’s privacy policy.

Technical: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, requests) for security.

3. What we never do

We do not take card or payment details through this website, we do not sell or rent your data, and we do not send newsletters you did not ask for.

4. Cookies & analytics

The site uses only technically necessary cookies and does not run advertising trackers. If we add analytics later, this policy will be updated before those tools are activated.

5. How long we keep data

Inquiries are kept as long as needed to handle them; booking records are kept as long as required for accounting and legal purposes in Costa Rica.

6. Your rights

You can ask us at any time what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (where no legal duty requires us to keep it). Guests from the EU/EEA have these rights under the GDPR; simply email bookingoceanvista@gmail.com and we will respond.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
